A monkey, said to be the first that has been taught to talk, has arrived at Madrid, en route to Hamburg. It. accompanies Fran Goldcnberg, German naturalist, who found the menkey in the Cameroons. She declares that the animal understands and pronounces a number of words in an African dialed. The monkey is a female and wears bodice, skirt and spectacles.
