A scene recalling the pom)/ of tlie court* of Pet-rograd' in Gzarist times was enacted at the Russian Church here to-day, when the Grand Duke Dimitri, of Russia, was married to Miss Audrey .Kmiery, an heiress. The bridegroom is the son of the Grand Duke Paul, who was murdered by the Bolshevists in 1919, and was cousin to the late Czar, while the bride is the daughter of the late Mr John Emery, of Cincinnati, who made n fortune out of land.
The Grand Duke Cyril, the head of the Russian Imperial* family, recently conferred the title of Princess Ulinsky on the bride, as, owing to her birth, she cannot, assume the dignities <jf a Grand Duchess.
The, Metropolitan Kvloquy, head of the Russian CMbodox Church in Europe, came specially to Biarritz, accompanied by a numerous suite, to perform tlie ceremony. In honor of the occasion lie wore a chasuble of marvellous workmanship and his celebrated diamond tiara.
The church had keen splendidly decorated, and although only guests could obtain admittance, the building was crowded to capacitv. Many members of the Russian Imperial family, as well as numerous other prominent persons, were present.
