LAW COURTS' LOVE DRAMA

PARIS, Nov. 22.

A gii'l barrister's unrequited, love,led to dramatic shooting in the Paris law* cottHs this afternoon.

Mile. Juliette doublet, remarkable for her studious features and her striking beauty, was admitted only recently to'tho Bar, but already she has pleaded successfully in cases in "which affairs of the heart 'played an important role. She was "in one of the corridors waitinc for a case to be called when, it is alleged, she drew a small gearl-handled revolver and aimed at her heart. A shot rang out and! she collapsed into a group of barristers and witnesses, who included Dr. Paul, the famous medicolegal expert. Dr. Pawl rendered, first aid. and Mile. doublet was taken to hospital, where, it is stated, she made the following statement :

"1 slrnt myself because I was disappointed in love, My despair is purely sentimental. T am madly in love with a male c.oljeague-, but my love has aroused no reciprocal feeling. The man I love has always-been most kind and polite towards me. I have nothing to say against huji. 'My story is one of pure romance." The doctors hope to save her life.
