The M.C.C. Ims sent out 1000 Christmas cards, including many to Australia. It depicts, with d rose and wattlo-border, a Hot) and a kangaroo supporting an urn containing ashes, with the lines:—
"As Phoenix from the ashes rose, And Jit a torch the age to guide, So fate upon our skill bestows A greeting at this Christntastide."
