Fat Sheep: There was a small entry and a hardening sale throughout, values being up to 2s 6d a head better than last week. The entry with the exception, of Chatham Island sheep was practically all local. Extra prime wethers made to 32s Id, prime wethers 27s 6d to 31s, medium wethers 25s to 275, light wethers 23s to 24s 9d, extra prime ewes to 27s 6d, prime ewes 22s 6d to 255, medium ewes 19s 6d to 235, light ewes 17s to 19b, aged ewes 15s to 16s 6d. Fat Cattle: There was another heavy entry of 505 head. Tho market opened 52s a. head lower than last week for ordinary beef but improved later, Specially good beef sold at practically last week's prices. Choice beef made from 36s 6d to 39s per 1001 b, good beef 33s to- 35. s 6d, medium 30s to 32s 6d, and rough down to 255. Extra prime steers realised £lB 17s 6d, primo heavy steers £ls to £l7, primo medium weight steers £l2 10s to £l4 ]os, medium quality steers £lO 10s to £l2 ss, light steers £9 5s to £lO ss, extra prime heifers to £l2 17s 6d, prime heifers £9 5s to £ll 10s ordinary heifers £6 15s to £9, light heifers £5 l'Os to £6 12s 6d, extra prune cows to £l2, prime tow* £8 to £lO 15s, medium cows £6 to £7 15s, light cows £4 10s to £5 15s.
