Eldridge, driving an eight-cylinder two-litre Miller car, covered 50 kilometres in lomin 32sec, and 50 miles in 24min S.S7sec, beating Captain Campbell's world records. Thereafter Eldridge went on to do 100 kilometres in 29min 47.91 see., beating Segrave's record. Eldridge averaged 132 miles per hour.
