COMMUNIST PLOT
AGAINST BULGAB THRONE 82 LEADERS ARBESTED (Elec. Tel. Copvright—Unitod Press Assa.) (Australian anil N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Dee. 30. Details have been received from Sofia of an elaborate plot "to overthrow the Bulgarian throne. i Five hundred Communists arranged to take possession of the principal railway stations and public buildings in Sofia, while 500 otliers seized the barracks. The officers of the army were to be arrested simultaneously in their homes. The plot was discovered and 82 of the leaders arrested. Some confessed that the aim was to secure the abdication of the King; and to establish a Communist dictatorship. Since the discovery of the plot a number of Communists have committed suicide, while Scvaiiibff, who was recently condemned to 10 years' imprisonment, threw himself from a third storey window of the prison and was critically injured. .
