N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS TO-DAY'S RESULTS The attendance at the Ngatevpa Sports Club's annual meeting, continued at. the Park, to-day, showed a Slight falling oft" as compered with Saturday. The .standaid of competition was maintained, however, and the public was delighted with the,programme, which embraced over 30 events. A grfcat race, with inches between the placed men. Williams led to within 2ft. of the tape, when Hurrey lunged forward and beat him. TWO-MILE N.Z. CYCLING CHAM-PIONSHIP.-J. Henderson 1, W. Mackie2, S. McCann 3. Time, 5.55. The visitors allowed Hamilton, a local entrant, to make the pace for practically the whole distance, but in the last half mile easily outdistanced the remaining deters. Henderson won narrowly, and McCann was a close third. Steeplechase jump (7 entries),.—R. Gillman's Thela, 1, J Jobson\s Paddy 2, W. Bobscii's Ben 3. 135vds. N.Z. Championship (4 entries). —A. Berry 1, J.Murland 2, D. Williams 3. Time, 14 l-ssec. Won by a yard and a half, after a hard tussle. The second and third men were only inches apart. Also started :J. Bradley. Three-mile cycle handicap, professional (20 entries): H. 8, Davis (450 yds) 1, A. Ross (400yds) 2, 6. Hamilton (180yds) 3. won easily. Time, 8.18 1-5.
