LOST HIS MEMORY
(Per Press Association.! PALMERSTON N., last night. A strange case of lost memory is occupying the attention of the'Palmerst'on North police. On Sunday morning a man walked into the watchhouse, seeking his own whereabouts. "Can you tell me what town this is'?" he asked the constable in charge. "I've got no idea how I got here." All the information the stranger could give was that lie thought he .had been working in an office in Auckland. He is now in hospital, receiving medical attention. The police description of him is as follows: —Age about 30 years, height, fd't. Din., round featured, clean shaven, pale complexion, ot strong bui)d and smart appearance; hair brushed back, suit navy bluo and ho wears black patent leather shoes. An overcoat in his possession is of grey check tweed, while a greyish brown hat bears the name of an Auckland firm. A cigarette case in his possession is initialled "C.L."
