The annual report of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Co. states: "The nett profit for the year is £21,317, which, with the 'amount brought forward, makes the amount at the credit of the profit and loss account £25,433. Out of this a further addition has been made to renewals reserve fund, and after such apportionment and deducting tho dividend paid at the halfyear there remains £11,933, which the directors propose be dealt with as follows: To the payment of a further dividend of 3 per cent, on preference and 4 per cent, on ordinary shares, £7600; carry forward £4433—£11,933."
