FAMILY HOMELESS

NARROW ECAPE FROM FIRE (Per Press" Association.) PUKEKOHE, this day. At about 10 p.m. on Saturday a fire destroyed a six-roomed house at Tuakaii occupied by Mrs. G. Bakalieh unci a family of eight young children. The father was absent at the time, and the Wife had great difficulty in escaping. The family was in nightattire, and the youngest child's foot was burned. The family was lucky, for a few minutes after their exit the building collapsed. The family now is homeless and clothesless/ all their effects being lost.
