Mouat early last year and the two sensational trials that followed were a “nine days' wonder” in Christchurch, but. are now slipping into the mists of the paid. A minor was current yesterday, however, that the missing Mis Mouat had been found. After hearing it from two or three sources a reporter approached Chief Detective Gibson, who laughed and gave a denial to the story. He thinks the fact that a Mrs Mouat lives in n Northern town has formed the basis of tlie tale.
