A USEFUL BOOK.

A recent book that should prove of interest to farmers lias been published by Mr. A. MoKcnny, Green meadows, It deals fully and in plain language with sheep and cattle fanning, giving many useful hints in stock manage* numt and (he care of stock. The chapters dealing with fencing and the manufacturing on the farm of concrete posts and culverts are of special interest now that farmers are turning from timber for their fencing to more durable materials. The author also deals comprehensively with the layout and erection of farm buildings, the care and use of the saw, the science of the axe in its relation to tree felling and splitting, and grass-seeding by hand. Written by a man, who, after years of practical farming, is fully conversant with his subject, the book should fill a long-felt want in the library of many a farmer.
