JAPANESE SUBMARINES LONDON, November 18. The. Daily News states that Japan's submarine, The Kobe, which was launched on November 8, is second only in the matter of sizo to Britain’s hugest type, and is the swiftest in the world, having a speed of 25 knots an hour, and a evuising radius of 12,030 miles, equal to a return voyago across the Pacific. The vessel is armed with two 4.Tin. guns, and carries a small seaplane. Japan has 25 more large submarines building, or ordered, making 75 effective submarines when the present programme is completed. She already possesses more of a large and fast type than does Britain or America.
