GOOD STAFF WORK

CHAIRMAN’S COMPLIMENT

Changes which had taken place in the staffing of the Gisborne Sheepfarniers’ F. M. and M. Co., were mentioned at the annual yieeting to-day by the chairman of directors, Mr. J. W. Nolan. The staff was complimented on the loyalty shown to the company, and the resultant success achieved.

During the year, Mr. Cedenvall, who had bean with tile company very nearly since its inception, had resigned his position as general manager and Mr. Hindi, who had a long and varied experience of mercantile business, was appointed in his place. Mr. Nolan said Mr. Hindi’s experience should be a valuable asset to the branch. Mr. Scents, who had been with the company for many years, in fact bad grown up in its service and who was managing at Hicks Bay, had been appointed freezing manager of the company. The directors wei'of satisfied that these appointments, meaning as they did, experts on both sides of the. company’s undertakings, in dose touch with each other, were alterations that should be beneficial, as each department would thus receive closer direct attention than was possible under former arrangements. The vacancy caused at Tokomaru Bay by the, resignation of Mr. Thomas had been filled by Mr. F, E. Porter.

The work of the staff during the past year had been excellent and no small measure of the company’s success was due to its united efforts.
