ECHO OF “MR. A”
HOEBS OUT OP GAOL LONDON, Nov. 18. William Charles Hobbs, the elderly London solicitor who figured in the “Mr. A.” ease and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for conspiracy to defraud, was released from gaol today. “Mr. A.,’’ afterwards disclosed to be Sir Hari Singh, tlio young* Indian rajah, and now a ruling prince, paid £150,000 to compensate a Mr. ltobinsou, who surprised Sir Hari with Robinson's wife in Paris. Hobbs acted as solicitor for Robinson; he tried to escape to Holland, but was arrested at the coast, in possession of a suitcase full of notes.
