Dame Nellie Melba, who arrived from London on Saturday, became ill in her rooms at the Ritz Hotel yesterday and was compelled* to cancel her engagements at the Opera House, Brussels, but hopes after a fortnight's rest to be able to return to London to prepare for her tour of Australia and the Far East, expecting to sail from England in December.
