SETTLER'S VENTURE
ON SUNDAY ISLAND (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Sir -Maui Pomare has received a radio message from, the captain of tho Hinemoa to the effect that he had landed Mr. 0. H. Parker, owner of the only portion of the land on Sunday Island that has been granted by the Crown, and two companions. This is a re-settlement of the property after 36 years. The last settlement took place in 1889, but wlas abandoned in the following year, owing to the lack of communication. The venture is dmc to tho fact that the Hinemoa now passes the island! regularly on hc.r voyage to Nine and Ivcrmedec islands. It was the temporary headquarters of the raider Wolf.
