Wellington building figures show that there has been remarkable activity in constructional trades in the Empire City this year. Permits issued from April to September represent n total value of over £I.OOO,CCO, compared with under £700,000 for the same period last year, and if the same rate, is maintained it may be expected that the yearly period will close with a total of some '£2,000,000 worth of new buildings.
