APPOINTING- A CHAIRMAN. (Sydney Sun Cables.) (Received October 30, noon) LONDON, October 29. The Marquess of Linlithgow has temporarily declined the chairmanship of the Conservative Party. The Marquess of Linlithgow is 39 years of age. and was a prominent member of the Unionist Party for many years, acting in the capacity of chairman for seme time. He has taken a prominent part in a number of organisations, and served throughout the Great War, being mentioned i‘n despatches. •
