The Bradford tops market is weak and a few speculators are flicking up very cheap offerings. At the sheepskin sales there was a good all-round selection. Americans and Continental buyers were the principal operators, the Home trade taking very little. Merinos were par to 5 per cent, easier, compared with September sales, and others were dearer, crossbreds, line, par to 6 per cent, up, medium a’ml low quality 7i to' 10 per cent, up; lambs, par to f> per cent., and pelts f> to 71 per cent.

FEILDING CATTLE FAIR. SATISFACTORY FRICKS REALISED. (Per Press Association.) FEILDING, this day. At Feilding yesterday the annual cattle fair -was held. Very 1 large, vardings of store cattle of all descriptions came forward and were offered to a record attendance of buyers, severall good-sized lines being bullocks, which were not in as good conditions as at previous fairs. They met with keen competition. but in some cases the prices offered were not up to vendors’ reserves. The majority of tho bullocks sold at satisfactory prices. Three-year-old steers, mostly in. poor condition, sold well, but most of the two-year-old steers, of which there wire not many pens, were passed. Several pens of well-bred yearling heifers and steers met with a keen demand and made good prices. Fresh conditioned heavy P.A. bullocks made £9 17s; fresh conditioned heavy Hereford bullocks £9 ,16s; good conditioned 4-venr Hereford bullocks, £9 Ss Od; ditto 3-4-year, £8 13s (id; 3 to 4-venr good colored store bullocks, £7 to £8 15s; 3-year steers, S.H., £6 8s; Hereford. £6 18s (id; small ditto, £o 13s Od; Foiled-Angus-, £6 ,1s to £6 19s; 2-vear steers, low condition, £5 18s Od; very good yearlings, £-1 19s down to £4 15s; fair Hereford yearling steers. £3 ISs; good £3 15s Od: fair S.H. yearling steers,' £3 ISs: medium yearjin g Hereford heifers. £3; Rolled-Angus ditto, £3 11s.

There was n small yarding of fat cattle. Heifers and cows sold well, but bullocks were neglected. Prime Hereford heifers made £9 17s Or.'! Shorthorn ditto, £lO 4s: light fat bullocks passed at £ll 15s. In conjunction with the cattle fair a small 'yarding of fat and store sheep was offered. Little interest was taken in the sales, the bulk of the yarding being passed in under the hammer. The first few pons of fats sold at prices- on a par with late rates and then the demand eased off. Good shorn fat wethers made 25s Id. good woolly ditto (p) 325. woolly fat ewes sold for 24s Id to 275; prime shorn ditto (i>) 20s 3d. Practically all the stores, which were inferior lots, were passed in.*

Messrs. Dalgely and Co., Ltd., have deceived the following cable from their head office, London, dated October 28: “Dairy produce.—Butter: The market is quiet- but- steady. Quotations arc; Danish butter 184 s to 186 s; New Zealand exceptional brands 148 s, New Zealand finest 144 s io 1465; Australian finest unsalted 162 sto 1665. finestsalted 138 sto 1445. Cheese: The market is firm. Quotations are: Canadian cheese 86s to 90s; New Zealand white and colored, not quoted.”
