IN THREE YEARS
AIR SERVICE TO LONDON SIX DROPPING PLACES MELBOURNE,'October 14. Addressing the annual'conference of the Australian Women's National League-tu-day, the president of the Victorian section of the Aero Club (LieutenantColonel White) said it-was almost certain that within the next five, or possibly three, years airships capable of carrying 120 "passengers would maintain, a regular service between London and Melbourne. ! ' The journey would take from 10 to 12 days. He* understood that' the fare would "be no more than the steamship rate. The stopping places would probably be Cairo, Bagdad, Bombay, Colombo, Fremantle and Melbourne. Airships would be used for 1 long routes and aeroplanes for short ones. Aviation, he added, had developed so remarkably in the last 25 years, that it would be difficult to forecast what great strides it would make in the next 25 years. It might pay doctors and dentists to visit outback settlers by aeroplane. '
