SCOUTED COBRA BITE
DOCTOR SLEEPS; BOY .DIES. CALCUTTA, October 14. , An.amazing instance of a Parsco doctor's carelessness i$ reported fron} Bombay. A boy' was bitten by a black cobra iahd immediately taken to the doctor, who denied that it was a case of snakebite, despito the protests of his friends who swore than they bad seen the snake bite tho boy. The doctor asked why they had not brought fclVo snako with them. The friends promised to do this next day, Meanwhile the doctor urged all to go to sleep, and; went to sleep himself. The friendvS, becoming alarmed, look the boy to another hospital, where he was promptly treated, but died some hours later. ,"v pie; coroner's 'jury found the doctor guilty of gross negligence, and requested thfifc/his conduct be brought under the notice .of'.the Government.
