CONFISCATION OF LANDS' . - i-.': 4 COMMISSION APPOINTED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The personnel was announced to-day by ’ the Attorney-General of the Royal Commission set up- hv the Government to inquire into and report upon the grievances of the Maoris in respect to native lands confiscated after the Maori wars. The commission is to consist of Judge Sim, chairman, the Hon. Vernon n. Reed, M.L.C., and Mr. W. Cooper.
