THE COLISEUM CROSS RE-ERECTION CEREMINY (The Times.) (Received October 26, 11 a.m.) LONDON, October 25. Tlie Times Rome correspondent states that a picturesque ceremony was enacted when a giant cross constructed from ail olive tree from the garden of liethsematie was erected in the Coliseum to replace the cross commemorating Christian martyrs, which was removed in 1874 owing to archaeological enthusiasm and anticlericalism.

Crowds formed a procession to the Coliseum, which was illuminated, and sang the To Deurn as the cross was laid on a bed of roses, preparatory to its installation on the original base which lias been re discovered.
