Le Matin states that the secret of synthetic petrol lias been discovered by Al. Aiuliberf, director of the National Society of Research. The method is to submit a mixture of hydrogen and carbon oxide to a pressure of 200 atmospheres, then filter over a catalyser, thereby obtaining petrol, which, after distillation, is suitable for use in aeroplanes and motors. It may also be converted into purified petrol for commercial oil and paraffin.
