OVER 150,000 IN AUSTRALIA .Wireless listening-in licenses in force al the end of August in Australia represented 2.5 per cent of the population of the 'Commonwealth. In August 14,3.16 new licenses were issued, 6t>'ci6 licenses renewed, and 976 cancelled. The total in force at the end of the! month was 154,736. The number in force in Victoria was 77,493, or 4.6 per cent; in New South Wales, 41,929, or 1.8 per cent; in Queensland, 15,082, or 1.7 per cent; in .South Australia, 14,631, or 2.6 per cent; in Western Australia. 4957, or 1.1 per cent; and in Tasmania, 1444; or .6 per cent.
