SHEEP STEALING
BATBURST ALARMED. BATHURST, (N.S.W.) Sept." 22. At a meeting of the Bathurst P.P. Board, Mr. C. Fnrness, stock inspector, drew attention to the alarming increase of sheep stealing in the Bathurst district. lie said that he knew of one owner who sold his (lock because he lost so many sheep. He urged the hoard to recommend an alteration in the Act to protect owners against swell depredations. The present legislation, he said, was both pitiful and .dangerous. It was decided to place the facts before the local member.
