The Daily News publishes a farewell message from Mr. Sidney Smith upon the departure of the Australian cricketers. He says: "We are loth to return without the Ashes, but itwill stimulate the game in Australia. 'England has a flue test team, and enough material to guarantee the standard for many years, but 1928 cannot come soon enough.”
