BRAKES DISCONNECTED
MURULLA TRAIN SMASH EVIDENCE AT: INQUEST (Received Sept. 30, 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept, 30. At the inquest on the Murulla disaster, a railway traffic inspectcw confirmed the statement that a draw-bolt of one of tho goods trucks snapped, and the train crew made this good with a cable, but, this rope broke during shunting, and the trucks rushed down the incline. After the first break they had not been able to get the trucks close enough together 1 to connect the air pipes for the' brakes.
