LOSSES ON BUSES
MELBOURNE'S EXPERIENCE DEFICIT OF £50,000 (Received September 30, noon) MELBOURNE, September 30. A loss of £50,000 during the year ended June 30 was sustained by the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramway Board in connection witii motor bus services. The total deficit of the board's accounts for the year was £242,477. The increases in fares introduced in May are expected to increase the annual revenue bv £290,000.
