The .death is recorded at Wanganui of Mr. James Charles Patterson, a well-known settler and a vice-president and life member of the Wanganui Jockey Club. The Rev. G. T. Bellhouse, M.A., son of the Rev. H. E. Bellhouse, of Dunedin, was recently inducted as the new minister of Regent Square .Presbyterian Church, London, by the Presbytery oi London North. Mr. Bellhouse was a distinguished graduate of Auckland University, and held a position as master of Auckland Grammar School luitil: he entered the ministry in 1921. In IffiW he went Home' and took up postgraduate work at Edinburgh Uravcrsity. being awarded the B.D. degree in 1925.
