GAOL FOR THEFT
MARTON SENTENCES (Per Press Association.) MARTON, this day. In the Magistrate's Cbwt this morning William .John Quinn, for the theft of cigarettes valued at 30s from Barton's grocery store on Monday, was sentenced to a month's imprisonment without hard' labor. James Andrew Thomson, for the theft of a watch and money, valued at £4 15s, from a residence near Marion, was given fourteen days' hard labor. Oh a charge of tho theft of a bicycle at Palmerston North he was remanded to appear there.
