POWER BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board was held today, Air. F. R. Ball presiding. There were also present : Alossrs. i. Murtield, (’. JL Bridge, X. Todd, C. 11. Williams. T. Corson, L. H. Mocloaii iuul A. C, Steele. The Metropolitan-Vickers Elect rienl Co., Ltd., wrote stating that the. possibility of delay in collection with the delivery of equipment for the powerhouse had been entirely due to the prolongation of the coal strike in Britain. Their principals fully realised the great need for urgency m the. delivery, and would do their Jiesf to lulfil the boards requirements —'The chairman slated that the representative of the firm had called on him, and he understood that the firm was -hopeful of making the doliverv within the specified time.
