, VISIT TO SUVA DEVIATION PROPOSED (Special to tlio Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. At the request of the elected members of the Legislative Council the (inventor of Fiji lias sent a message to the British Government asking that the vuyago of H.M.S. Renown bo so deviated that the Duke and Duchess of York may 1m aide to visit Fiji while en route to New Zealand. No reply lias vet been received.
The request was supported by Mr. if. .Marks, 0.8., as Mayor of Suva, and Sir .Maynard Hedstrom, as president of the I'hambcr of Bommeree.
