GOOD BATTING PERFORMANCES. TYLDESLEY MAKES 226. , (Reuter’s Telegram.) LONDON, July 6. Yorkshire, in their first innings, made -128 for nine wickets and declared (Kilner 59, Oldroyd 56, Macaulay 65, Waddington 65). Kent, in their lirst innings scored 225 (Askdown 72). Waddington took four for 47. In the second innings they hud lost none for 42. The game was abandoned. • Hampshire in their first- innings made 328 (Bowe 62, Brut ton 59„ Kennedy not out 70). Surrey, in their first innings have lost two for 401 (Hobbs 200, Gregory, not out,, 134). Hobbs 'batted for 200 minutes. He hit twenty-one fours, and gave two early chances, but otherwise there was no blemish. The match was abandoned. Lancashire, in their first innings, made 475 for seven wickets and declared (E. Tyldeslcy 226). Sussex, in their first innings, made 238 (Williams 79; MacDonald took four lor 84), and in the second innings Sussex scored 160 for five wickets. The game was abandoned. For Worcester against Nortliants, M. Foster made 109. Worcester won. For Glamorgan against Derby, Riches made 136. For Derby, Storer took five for 90. The match was abandoned. For Warwick against Somerset, Wvatt made 102. Meyer took five for 35. For Somerset White took seven for 62. The match was abandoned. For Leicester against Gloucester Geary in the first innings took six for 36, and in the second six for 74. For Gloucester Parker took seven for 50. The match was abandoned. Rain generally interfered with the play. _____
