MANGAPAPA SCHOOL.
( OM M ITTKK MEETING. The monthly meeting of the committee of th(> above school was held cm Monday evening, there being present : Messrs. C. (!. Uayliss (chairman). Cook, llopkiusr.u, Stuhbings, (hirdner, Critlin, ami A. C. Terry (secretary). The chairma.it reported to the meeting the effect of the coriespoiuleneo which had passed between himself and the Education Board 1 with regard to the installation of sewerage at the '.school and stated that the Education Board had informed him that they were in negotiation with the Borough Coined! on the matter and It was hoped C- , Hie installation of sewerage at the school would not he much longer delayed. The committee decided to hold the Annual Children’s Plain and’ Fancy Dress Ball with the object cf raising funds to provide a tennis court for tlio scholars. The headmaster reported that a couple of loads of shingle were required for filling in Ihe playground, which the committee decided to procure. The headmaster also reported that 1 he had collected the sum of £lO towards a gramophone for the school, which amount hud been forwarded to the Education Board. Accounts totalling £4 Is were passed for payment.
