DEMPSEY v. TUNNEY. WINNER TO MEET "WILES. NEW YORK, June 22. Tex Rickard announced to-day that the Jack Dcmpscy-Gene Tiinney fight would take place on September 1(5. He would then give a guarantee to the Boxing Conimisison that Hie winner would meet Harry Wills.
When two boxing commissioners declined Tex Rickards’ proposal, only one member, Mr. Muldoon, being favorable, Tex said he would hold tho light outside Now York, lie left the conference when Mr. Earley bluntly said that. Dempsev was afraid of Wills. “Jack is a nervous wreck, and altogether out. of condition, weighing only a hundred and eighty-eight,” said Mr. Farley, “and Wills is 2()lli. heavier.”
