Mr. Brown, who went to the funeral, is. laid up with iniliienza in Auckland. Mrs. Turner, of VVaikokopu, iteeiitly lost her father, and friends extend their .sympathy. The passing away of Te Toltu \Yhaanga at .Nuliaka, sou of one of the oldest chiefs in the district, i.s the reason of the very large tangi now being held. AVaikokopu lias been a busy port during last week. Even through the roughest weather, the work of loading and unloading proceeded apace. The sinking of the old Talune has been a big success.
