VIENNA'S BEER BOYCOTT.
ON THE WATER WAGGON
VIENNA, April 27
Vienna is going through tho novel experience of being "on the water waggon." Owing to the beer boycott which was threatened last week, practically no restaurant or cafe in town has served beer as a protest against what the proprietors consider an unjustifiable increase in the price. On Sundav night every cafe was filled with crowds, drinking up the availaide supplies and preparing ror x'ab drought. Practically all the restaurants joined in the boycott, but the Owners' Association heard of a few saloons intending to break the boycott, and immediately took measures to prevent this by paying the unemployed good wages to mount guard and drink cheap wine.
