ROSE FAILS ON HEAVY TRACK

The Cambridge Amateur Athletic Association team beat Cambridge University by 52 points to 38. The lOOvds was won by Porntt (Association), with .Frakel (Cambridge) second. Harrison (Cambridge) third. Won by half a yard.' Time, 10 l-ss. Porntt finished'with a fine burst of speed. The long jump was won by Homier, 25ft Bin. Rose, starting from scratch in a special KOvd short limit mile handicap at the Civil Service sports at Stamford Bridge, finished last. The track was heavy and there was no medium start man to take him along. Ho covered the quarter-mile in 60 4-5. and as. after that, he saw no chance of catching the leaders, ho cased up. Six runners competed, Driver, <>f Woolwich Polytechnic, won with 75yds start in 4.47 4-5. Rose's time was 4.54 4-b.
