GEORGES"THROUGH
OPINION ON CARPENTIER
Sporting writeifc agree that Georges Carpcnlier. in his fight with Eddie Hoffman, had nearly everything that made* him famous. His gestures were splendid, his courage was not lacking, his rink cunning still works perfectly: bul he hasn't goi the sitrn of a punch. A'! the evening he bluffed with the righ't as if just ready to land a knockout, bul when it did eou'iiccl with Hoffman's jaw, it mcrelv excited that youth tu more strenuous efforts. The general verdict Wa.s that Geo'raes is through'.
