FATAL FACTIONAL TROUBLE KU KLUX KLAN IMPLICATED

(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, April 13. A telegram from Herring, Illinois, states that six men were shot to death and another is near death, as the result of a renewal of factional trouble late on Tuesday in connection with the primary election. The dead are a brother of . a former chief of police, two constables, and three deputy sheriffs. State troops were rushed to the scene, and rioting is likely. Troops are guarding the homes of two Ku Klux Klan clergymen, where the trouble started. No arrests are reported. .
