AUCKLAND'S WATER SUPPLY.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. The Auckland City water supply loan proposals, submitted to the ratepayers to-day, were carried. Details are as follows: — Loan of £70,000 for filtration plant for the existing supply: For 220.1, against 920; majority 1335. Loan of £IOO,OOO for a now dam and the extension of the system: For 1005, against 1429; majority 230.
