The Government; in face of determined opposition, including Labor, carried tlie clause empowering the Minister of Justice to deport anyone not born in South Africa for any offence under the insolvency law. Three Labor Ministers were absent.

To-day the Prevention of Disorders Rill was published. It also empowers deportation after conviction for sedition, and compels natives, after convictions, to reside in certain areas. -
