Further details of the results of .the fin«il -events of the fflnwke's "Bay Bwimming championships show that the Gis. .borne team made a great, effort to regain the Swain Memorial <?up. This racr is a 400 yards teams' event, open to the various clubs of the. centre The competing teams wore:—Hcrelauqga (holders), To Awa, Napier, and Gisborne. For the first two lengths the order was Cisborne, Napier, To Awa, and Herotaunga. Prior to the start of the race Gisbomo and Heretaunga entered a protest against A. E. Baird, as they considered Ke was not eligible to swim for the Napier Club. The matter will be discussed at the next meeting of the ilawke's Bay Centre. In the-50 yards championship McKeagne and Bousfielfl represented the Gisborne Club, btjib did not meet, with close : un at the finish.
