FIRE IN AUCKLAND.

(■ A fire on the premises in Albert street ' occupied- by the Reliance Battery Manufacturing '{Jo. last night destroyed a ' large quantity of stock, including oyer 100 privateiy-owned batteries, and caused considerable damage to a wooden ' gallery, ceiling and rafters. The flames rose through the roof and were visible at a great distance, on account of the inflammable character of the contents. The stock was insured in the Victorian Insurance Co.
