RUGBY FOOTBALL.

CELTIC CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Celtic. Football Club was held last evening before a large attendance of members. Air Al. J. Ivyue, the president, occupied the chair, and in the course of his address remarked on the great progress which had been made during last season. Although only a young club, they had’ maintained three teams, the seniors being runners-up, while the third grade team had gained the premiership in their class. It was intended to again enter three teams in the various grades for this year’s competitions. The chairman remarked that tho prospects for the coming season were particularly bright, and trusted that members would give their club every consideration. It was devilled that tho annual subscription for seniors should lie 6s and for juniors 2s 6d. For the purpose of organising entertainments to assist club funds, a strong ladies' committee was formed. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the superintendent of tlie Fire Brigade fur the. use of rooms and to Messrs Kyne. J. Weston, J. White, find J. IvlcLamihlnn for services rendered during the year.
