MATAWHERO STOCK SALE.

PRICES EQUAL LAST WEEK’S. BIDDING POOR. Tho Poverty Bay Stock Brokers’ Association held their usual sale at the Matawhero yards to-day. There was a fairly good attendance of the public, but bidding was poor, and prices on a par with last. week. One good cow made £6, ii medium cow £4 2s. 6d., and steers £7. Fat Sheep.—Weathers 20s 9d, ewes 12s 6d, lambs 17s, Ids 7d to 225. Pigs.—A yarding of Id head. Weaners 8s to ds 6d, stores 20s. Heifers.—3ls to 37s 6d.

Store Sheep.—A yarding of 9CCO, mostly ewes. Most lines offered were in a rather low condition. Cull lambs 3s and 4s Id, medium lambs 12s. Two-tooth ewes fairly good 19s Id. Two-tooth ewes low condition 6s Id to 9s Bd. Two-tooth wethers 17s, two-tooth wethers low condition 8s 7d. Four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, fairly good, 15s 6d to 18s. F.M. owes 4s to 9s; aged ewes 4s to 4s lOd. Fat Cattle. —1 cow, good, £5; 1 steer, £7; 6 steers, £7; 5 cows, light, £4 2s 6d. Fat sheep : 19 wethers 20s 9d, 3 ewes 12s 6d, 12 lambs 18s 7d, 34 ewes 12s 6d, 8 ewes 12s 6d. 21 lambs 17s 3d, 3 lambs 17s. 3 lambs 225. Pigs: 3 svenTiers 8s 6d, 3 weavers 8s 6d, 2 porkers 31s, 2 porkers 37s 6d, 5 weaners (no bid), 3 weaners Bs, 2 store 20s.
