JOURNALIST WEDS.

BA h'K ER—GREAVES. A wedding of considerable Gisborne interest tqok place in the Holy Trinity Church last evening, when Anitq Pearl, second daughter of Air. and Mrs. H. Greaves, of Ormond road, was married' to Harry Heaton, eldest son of Air. and Mrs. G. Heaton Barker, Aft. Eden, Auckland, a well-known and popular .journalist of the Poverty Bay Herald staff’. The service was conducted by the Rev. Canon It. Paeke.

The bride looked charming in a dress of cloth* mainline, draped at.the side, and caught with a rose. She wore a train of the same material, lined with pale pink, and the orthodox veil and coronet of silver tissue and pink rosebuds. The bride’s bouquet was a pretty sheaf of lilies.

1 The chief bridesmaid. Miss Edna Phillips, wore pale pink satin ehnrmeusc, made with pie apron oll'eei, and trimmed . with silver lace, with coronet to lone. The second bridesmaid, Ali.ss Daphne Greaves, sister of the hric.e, was tastefully' attired in pale green brocaded cropc-do-chinc, find an overdress of silver lace and an apron caught with piuk rosebuds. Flic wore a coronet to tone. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink and gold respectively. Tlio fjypdiftlq trainbearers, Dappge and Pgggy Tate, pieces of the bride, wore mauve ami lemon georgette, trimmed with rosebuds, and carried posies to match. Mrs. Greaves wore a becoming gown of silver-grey maroeaine with the double skirt effect, trimmed with gold. Uhe wore a hat to tone, anil carried a imuquet of pink flowers. A large number of guests wore eiifc'r-' tained at a reception held at Le Grand Lounge after the ceremony, and the usual toasts- were honored. The bride's present; to the bridegroom was it set of gold studs. TJte bridegroom's present |o the chief bridesmaid was a necklet of pearls, and to Aliss Daphne Greaves, and the trainboarers, gold armlets. The presentation from the Herald staff to tin’, bridegroom was a pretty ten set find Donlton tea pot, while the bride’s presentation from the staff"of Nelsops Ltd. was a dinner set and set of Pyrex pvonwa re. The happy couple left later by ear on their honeymoon tour.
